The 21st Xylexpo, the biennial world exhibition dedicated to woodworking technologies, took place from 27 through 31 May 2008 in the Milan Fairgrounds located in Rho, under the patronage of Eumabois.

Xylexpo was associated with D.I.M.A.F. , the International demonstration of forest machinery and equipment, held in S. Fedele Intelvi (Como) on 30, 31 May and June 2008.

Xylexpo New was the name choosen to represent the future of the exhibition that, for the first time, opened the doors to semifinished products, furniture supplies, raw materials, hardware and all other wood based products.
Products found space close to machinery and plants in a new and innovative exhibiting lay-out.

Xylexpo New put the manufacturers from all over the world in direct contact with an audience of international business operators: 81,980 visitors, with 50 percent from outside Italy, in an area of 76 thousand sq.m. (807,293.28 square feet).
