Hall 14 at Xylexpo hosted the first edition of "Wood in the Show" event, absolute novelty of the 2010 event.
A natural environment of 3,000 sqm. with high trunk trees - realized with the partnership of Lombardy Region and Fiera Milano - where to speak not only about sustainable management of wood and forest, carbon stock, forestry policy, but also about crafts, naturalistic engineering, protection and safeguard of local environment, education.
An event of strong cultural connotations with a double aspects: from Tuesday 4th to Saturday 8th has been showed  in practical terms to the trade operators visiting the show the Xylexpo commitments for the first processing of wood.
In fact, Xylexpo with "Wood in the Show" wishes to confirm the importance of the wood as raw material, anticipating an event that will be oraized in 2012, an ideal location for the companis involved in the first processing of wood, in the production of tecnology for working in the forest, for the wood building.
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 "Wood in the Show" was opened to the public, thanks to an extraordinary lengthening of the exhibition.
On schedule were guided visits, demonstrations, sculptures realized with chain saw, laboratories for children, young people and families and the "Biathlon of woodcutters", a demonstration of  works in the forest ability.
