attached please find some “useful information” about the next Xylexpo, to be held at FieraMilano-Rho from 13 to 17 May.
INVITATION TO XYLEXPO 2014
To foreign journalists visiting the next edition of our exhibition, we are pleased to offer a single room for the nights of 14 and 15 May (in 14/05/2014, out 16/05/2014), free of charge. The price of the room and the tourist tax will be covered by our organization. The offer is valid for one editor for each publication and places will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis. We remind you that, on May 14, there will be a dedicated gala evening for media and exhibitors, with the awarding ceremony of “Xia-Xylexpo Innovation Awards” (you will receive the official invitation in the coming weeks).
XIA-XYLEXPO INNOVATION AWARDS
Talking about the award: we wanted to create an event that is not related to a specific product or a technical solution, but more generally to the courage, determination, entrepreneurial spirit shown by Xylexpo exhibitors during the recent difficult years.
How does it work? Here’s the basic info.
Who can participate: only and exclusively companies exhibiting at Xylexpo 2014 (the exhibitor catalog can be browsed online by clicking on the banner in the left column on the home page www.xylexpo.com).
The jury panel: the jury is made up of all the industry media registered at our press office.
Award categories: through the attached voting form, media will indicate their preferred companies in two categories:
“Innovation”, i.e. the capacity to innovate products in recent years, with special reference to green economy and impact on the production processes of customers;
“Communication”, i.e. the commitment to communicate your way of “being an enterprise”, which can include online and offline activities, specific focus on social media, highly effective advertising campaigns, attention and consistent approach to media representatives.
Voting procedure: through the attached voting form, jury members may indicate up to three preferences in each category, adding a short explanation for their choice. The vote is obviously secret.
Actions by companies: the award does not require companies to candidate themselves or support their participation, although we strongly recommend this. The award is assigned independently by media, who express a general opinion on a company, its innovation capacity and value communication skills. Companies may inform about their participation, support their nomination by contacting the industry media directly or submitting useful materials or information to our secretariat, to be distributed to all media through our channels.
Terms and conditions: companies may invite media to vote until April 30, 2014; that's also the deadline for media to submit their voting forms to the secretariat. On May 6, at the Acimall offices, the award committee will meet to count the votes; the winners will be proclaimed during the media gala evening, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.

PRESS CORNER
Also this year, a press corner is available for Italian and international media in Hall 2 Stand B30-C31, where your publications can be displayed free of charge. Up to 300 copies for up to three magazines can be sent by each publishing house. Shipping costs are at publisher’s charge. In the coming weeks, you will receive all details for delivery.
