Xylexpo 2026 opened up a new path beyond the traditional boundaries of its sector, becoming part of MaTec | materials and technologies, the new event dedicated to the manufacturing industry and designed to create new opportunities, relationships and connections between increasingly interconnected industrial sectors.

The international biennial exhibition of technologies for the wood and furniture industries played a key role in this new project, developed together with Plast, the exhibition dedicated to technologies for the plastics and rubber industries, building a bridge towards a growing demand for solutions and tools based on multi-materiality. The project was further enriched by the presence, in Xylexpo’s Halls 14 and 18, of Composites Future, an exhibition and conference dedicated to technologies and materials for composites, supported by Assocompositi, the Italian association representing companies active in this specific industrial sector.

The three exhibitions thus created a new exhibition concept bringing together different sectors, technologies and materials, opening the way for possible future extensions to other segments of the manufacturing industry and demonstrating a shared commitment to addressing the changing needs of exhibitors and visitors through an innovative approach.
