MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS IN TIMBER CONSTRUCTION: EFFICIENT, OPTIMIZED, AUTOMATED

Timber constructions are becoming more and more important all over the world; it’s a relentless process, in line with decarbonization targets and ESG criteria. Concurrently, production techniques are evolving rapidly, artificial intelligence is increasingly used, and robots have become essential in (pre)fabrication. Therefore, we have decided to present Xylexpo visitors and exhibitors with a quick overview of the key topics regarding the modern production of wooden buildings.

At Xylexpo 2026, FORUM HOLZBAU is organizing an international conference to offer industry professional, timber house manufacturers, production managers, builders, designers and engineers the opportunity to share their experience with international experts.

FORUM HOLZBAU is a global platform that gathers leading universities from several countries – including Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Canada – boasting specific excellence in the field of timber construction; this initiative was created to spread and promote the culture of wood constructions. In Italy,
FORUM HOLZBAU works in close collaboration with the University of Trento.
