  • Many Italian and international companies have already submitted their registration to the next edition of Xylexpo 2026, the biennial international exhibition for the wood and furniture industries scheduled at FieraMilano-Rho next June 9 to 12.

The early-bird benefits offered to companies registering within November 30 have worked also this year, driving many companies to speed up their registration despite the “wait-and-see” mood that is affecting also the global industry of technology for wood and furniture.

“The next edition of Xylexpo – said exhibition director Dario Corbettawill keep its promise of setting up an international event that provides a clear view of “made in Italy”. The event will have a dual approach: on one side, a place where Italian companies have their own “home exhibition”, what we now call the “comfort zone”; on the other, an opportunity for companies from all around the world to get directly in touch with the Italian market, one of the most relevant on a global scale.”

The focus topics for the events scheduled during the four-day exhibition are set. The first day will be dedicated to wood construction; the highlight will be the first edition of Holzbau Forum Italia at Xylexpo, presenting an agenda focused on the closer and closer integration of technology, design and construction. The topic of the second day will be drying, featuring the presentation of the new “Drying handbook” by Conlegno and the University of Florence. On day three, the spotlights will be cast onto finishing technology and products, while the last day will be dedicated to tools. The agenda will include more events, presentations, interviews, testimonials and insights in collaboration with institutes, universities and experts.

A rich calendar is also being defined for Composites Future, the expo & conference dedicated to technologies and materials for composites, making its debut In Hall 18 in collaboration with Plast, the exhibition of technology for the plastic and rubber industry, held concurrently. The morning program for Wednesday 10, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 will feature the “Composites Future Academy”, talking about materials, modeling of innovative materials and the related technology. On the same days, the afternoon session will be dedicated to the “Composites Future Demo Area”, offering the opportunity to experience the production of composite materials and presentations of modeling and processing methods for composites.

In Milan, from 9 to 12 June 2026, concurrently with Xylexpo and Plast

The starting flag is waving for companies interested in exhibiting at the first edition of Composites Future, the biennial exhibition for the composite materials industry (technology, equipment, materials), held in Hall 18 of the FieraMilano-Rho expo center next June 9-12, 2026. Exhibitors registering to the expo and conference within November 30, 2025, will benefit from a reduction on participation fees.

The event is part of the new exhibition format Matec-materiali e tecnologie, a springtime date dedicated to the manufacturing industry, including Plast – exhibition of technologies for the plastic and rubber industry – and Xylexpo, biennial international exhibition of wood and furniture technology. Three exhibitions for one big event with a focus on “multimateraility”, with an expected attendance of 1,700 exhibitors and 60 thousand visitors, 30 percent from abroad, with a net exhibition area close to 70 thousand square meters.

The event – promoted by Assocompositi, the Italian association of composites and similar materials – fills a gap in the exhibition calendar, adding an intensive schedule of meetings, in-depth presentations and practical demos that will illustrate the evolution of this important industry in the manufacturing arena, highlighting the close link with technologies for other industry that have been extensively applied also in the domain of composite materials.

The “early bird” phase for Xylexpo 2026, the biennial international exhibition of technologies for the wood and furniture industry, has started: the companies that will decide to exhibit in Milan from 9 to 12 June 2026 will benefit from a reduction of their participation fees.

This offer – valid until November 30, 2025 – will attract a significant share of exhibitors: being among the first to register, they will secure more options for the booth position and more visibility among the companies that Xylexpo will promote in its information campaign.

Xylexpo, as announced a few weeks ago, is inaugurating the new exhibition format “Matec-materiali e tecnologie”, a late-spring event dedicated to the manufacturing industry that will include Plast – exhibition of technologies for the plastic and rubber industry – and Composites Future, expo and conference dedicated to technology and materials for composites. Three exhibitions for one big event with a focus on “multi-materiality”, with an expected attendance of 1,700 exhibitors and 60 thousand visitors, 30 percent from abroad, with a net exhibition area close to 70 thousand square meters.

Here comes “Matec-materiali e tecnologie”, a big spring event dedicated to the manufacturing industry that represents a turning point, creating new opportunities, relations and connections between industries that are getting closer and closer each day.

Xylexpo – the biennial international exhibition of technologies for the wood and furniture industries – will play a key role in the new exhibition based on a project shared with Plast – the exhibition of technologies for the industries of plastic materials and rubber – building a bridge towards an increasing demand of solutions and tools focused on multi-materiality. The initiative is even more significant as the Xylexpo halls (hall 14 and hall 18, Porta Ovest) will dedicate ample space to Composites Future, an expo-conference dedicated to technologies and materials for composites, supported by Assocompositi, the Italian association that gathers all the players of this specific industrial domain.

The dates are June 9 to 12, 2026, a timeframe driven by the previous allocation of the FieraMilano-Rho fairgrounds to the organizers of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics. The fairgrounds in Milan will host the speed skating races and a few ice hockey games, consequently forcing them to rearrange a portion of the 2026 exhibition calendar.

The three exhibitions have created a new exhibition layout based on segments, technologies and materials that, in the future, might include other segments of the manufacturing industry, showing a shared desire to respond to the changing needs of exhibitors and visitors with an innovative approach.

“The next edition of Xylexpo is a milestone in the journey we started a long ago to create ever stronger, more tangible and “attractive” synergies for an audience looking for more articulated and complex answers”, said Enrico Aureli, president of Xylexpo and Acimall, the association of Italian woodworking technology manufacturers. “The birth of Federazione Confindustria Macchine, the closer connection of associations representing the manufacturers of instrumental goods for the wood, plastic, ceramic and packaging industries, and the identification of a destination shared with the composite materials industry, enable us to look at the future of our exhibitions from a different perspective, pursuing closer integration and collaboration in order to provide visitors and exhibitors with an innovative context, where they can discover technologies created in contiguous industries and that, more and more often, respond to shared needs”.
