Xylexpo also has a training aspect. There are many architects and professional schools who join the event to update themselves on new technologies; the exhibiting companies themselves invite professionals operators from their area as stated by Marianna Daschini - CEO of the Greda company.
Xylexpo 2020 will be postponed. This is the painful but necessary decision taken by the Managing Board of Acimall, the association of Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers, owner of the biennial exhibition.
The 2020 edition will not be held next May 26-29 as originally planned, but postponed to the second half of the year, in dates that will be identified later on, in view of the ongoing disruption of trade fair calendars and the unpredictable developments of the "Covid-19" emergency.
The traditional International Press Conference on the upcoming edition of Xylexpo will be held on 18 February 2020 and will introduce the biennial world exhibition for woodworking technology and furniture supplies scheduled from May 26 to 29 at FieraMilano Rho Fairgrounds.
The fourth edition of XIPC-Xylexpo International Press Conference will take place at Enzo Jannacci’s auditorium located on the 31st floor of building “Pirellone” in Milan; this location was selected to celebrate one of the major symbols of Italian design and engineering, 60 years after its inauguration and slightly more than 40 years after the demise of its brilliant architect, Mr. Giò Ponti, an ever-renowned top figure in both the furniture and design industry.
Xylexpo will be at the Eurobois exhibition in Lyon to meet French woodworking businesses.
France is one of the leading players in the woodworking sector: it imports € 280 million in technologies and it is among the first by number of visitors to Xylexpo.
Very exciting weeks with more and more exhibitors wanting to be at Xylexpo this May, in a year marking its 52nd anniversary. There are 30 new companies who have recently joined, some of them are returning to the show, others taking part for the first time.
The Xylexpo road show continues in the main sector events that will accompany us until the end of the year. The next stop will be at the WMS fair, which will take place in Toronto from 31 October to 2 November 2019, an event dedicated to woodworking technologies, semi-finished products and components for the furniture industry.
The Xylexpo promotion will be contextualised within the "Punto Italia" organized by ITA Italian Trade Agency, with an infodesk shared with Acimall, the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers' association (Booth #2337, woodworking machinery pavilion). After Canada it will be Moscow's turn, with the usual appointment at the Woodex fair, from 3 to 6 December.
